Kenneth Pete Trosclair joined The Corea Firm, PLLC in May of 2004 with a single objective- the advocacy and protection of individual rights. Mr. Trosclair limits his practice exclusively to the representation of individuals injured by the negligent or fraudulent acts of corporations or individuals or by the unconstitutional acts of governmental entities. Mr. Trosclair’s passion and commitment to protect individuals is deeply rooted in his own upbringing and his path that led him to The Corea Firm, PLLC.
Mr. Trosclair was born the youngest of four and raised in Larose, Louisiana- a small, rural town on the banks of bayou LaFourche in the southern part of the state. Growing up in this hard working, blue-collar town of fisherman and oil field workers not only instilled Mr. Trosclair with the work-ethic that has served him well throughout his life, but also allowed him to see first-hand the realities of unsafe work conditions and the devastating affects such conditions have on hard working individuals and their families.
Upon graduation from high school in 1990, Mr. Trosclair was determined to be the first in his family to graduate from college. To achieve this goal, he first enlisted in the United States Navy and volunteered for the submarine fleet. After receiving an honorable discharge in 1993, Mr. Trosclair moved to San Diego, California where he would spend the next four years of his life making his goal a reality. Working full-time and attending community college for two years, Mr. Trosclair earned admission to the University of California, San Diego. Originally determined to be a scientist, Mr. Trosclair became fascinated with the political struggles regarding the protection of individual rights and changed his course of study to match his interest. Mr. Trosclair went of to earn a B.S in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy from the University of California, San Diego in 1998, and decided to attend law school.
Mr. Trosclair earned acceptance to many of the most prestigious law schools in America, including Boalt Hall at the University of California, Berkeley, Georgetown University, and the University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Trosclair chose to attend the University of Texas School of Law, where he ultimately earned his J.D. in 2001, because of his desire to return to the south and be closer to his family.
Upon graduating from Law School, Mr. Trosclair practiced in the Dallas office of Bickel & Brewer, a high-powered litigation firm. While with Bickel & Brewer, Mr. Trosclair’s practice focused on litigating complex commercial and insurance disputes. Mr. Trosclair’s years at Bickel & Brewer provided him the opportunity to litigate complex and difficult cases against some of the most prestigious law firms and largest corporations in the country. While this type of legal experience was challenging and invaluable, this practice did not match Mr. Trosclair’s interest in protecting the rights of individual citizens. Thus, in May of 2004, Mr. Trosclair decided to leave this career path and pursue his true interest with The Corea Firm, PLLC.
Mr. Trosclair is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and has litigated cases venued in jurisdictions located throughout the United States.
