Jane Ann Cruce joined The Corea Firm, PLLC in 2008 with the intent to bring her knowledge of the pre-litigation side of plaintiff work with her. Her passion is to help those injured from the negligence of others with the award to which they are entitled. She has in the last 10 years practiced primarily in the field of personal injury handling plaintiff claims regarding motor vehicle accidents as well as premises liabilities.
Jane Ann is a native Texan, born in Dallas and raised in Mesquite, Texas where she has lived most of her life with her family. Born to Marlene and B.W. Cruce, Jr. in 1960, Jane Ann attended high school at Mesquite High School, and College at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1982. She attended the University of Arkansas Law School, in Fayetteville, Arkansas and obtained her Juris Doctor and graduated in 1986 and was admitted to the Arkansas Bar.
Ms. Cruce began her legal practice in the family law office of Cruce & Cruce, P.C, in Mesquite, Texas with her father a long time practicing attorney, and former Mayor of Mesquite. She began her practice in the field of bankruptcy, quickly becoming the advocate for Debtor rights, and after being admitted to the Texas Bar in 1993 moving swiftly into the fields of criminal and probate law. Prior to joining the Corea Firm, she was the senior pre-litigation attorney at the Law Office of Ben Abbott in Garland, Texas, a large plaintiff oriented firm where she was employed from 1999 to 2008. While at the Abbott office she filed over 1500 lawsuits, managed a staff of 30, and moved into the administrative areas of Law Firm Management.
Ms. Cruce is currently serving as Chairman of the Mesquite Planning and Zoning Commission. She is a past President of The Mesquite Woman’s Club and is very active in the Mesquite community. She and her Mother, Marlene, who also works in the legal field, live with, Laci, 22, a senior art major at North Texas University, and Jessica, 16, a freshman majoring in International Business at Stephen F. Austin.
